OKKO Karate Jutsu http://www.freewebs.com/okkosensei/index.htm
Located in the United Kingdom, OKKO Karate Jutsu was formed in
the June of 2005 by Sensei Malcolm McClure and Sensei Nigel Lee. It's
aim was simple, to form an organisation that cared more for the art of
of Self-Protection than it did about the cost. To bring an existing
style of Martial Art (Wado-Ryu) and add to it with the best techniques
from Kickboxing, Aikido, Judo, Boxing, Kung-Fu and Kyusho or Pressure
points. By adding all the various techniques from proven Styles of
Martial Arts to our own we were able to create OKKO Karate Jutsu, or
"Open Karate Kickboxing Organisation" The Open wording meant that we
were not going to commit ourselves to just one style, the Karate was
the foundation of where we started and wanted to remain faithful to the
"Way" of Karate, the Kickboxing was to give students the chance
to fight/spar with no limitations in stances or techniques. OKKO
was later to be re-named OKKO Karate Jutsu as we was very rapidly
becoming a pragmatic and hollistic style utilising ground techniques,
throws and locks.
